Hey y’all! I am so excited to share today’s post with each of you!

My husband Grant and I were asked to be the bride and groom model for The Big Sky Barn wedding venue editorial this past Spring. It was only a couple months after our real wedding that lead stylist, Tiffani Price, owner of Love Birds Vintage in Montgomery, TX asked us to join in on the collaborated shoot.

Grant and I absolutely LOVE getting asked to be bride and groom for photo shoots because it’s a time to be lost in the moment and all in love with each other without all the added stress of a real wedding. Grant actually modeled in high school and went to Los Angeles for print work! Grant and I had never had a professional shoot of us together until our trip to Paris. I remember that 7:30am morning shoot like it was yesterday. When we met right in front of the Eiffel Tower and the photographers began telling us to kiss or nuzzle or for Grant to pick me up, he would grab me tight and look so sweetly into my eyes. That would be another time that I realized I had found a true prized possession in Grant because we shot for almost 4 hours touring all over Paris and Versailles and he handled it all like a champ! The photographers said they had never had a man who was in such a good mood during a photo shoot for such an extended period of time. You can see an Overview of our Paris Trip and Photoshoot here.

Tiffani and the Love Birds Vintage team styled an absolutely beautiful and dramatic vintage wedding with Shades of Violet (purple) as the primary color.  Ultra Violet would then be named the top wedding trend color for 2018, so snaps to Tiffani on making that prediction!

The ceremony was flower filled with a fog machine exit, while the reception was featured at the gorgeous wooden bridge at Big Sky Barn. With an emphasis of vintage cameos, blue and white china details and a classic Indian motorcycle exit, Grant and I loved getting to have a beautiful pretend wedding that day! You haven’t seen me post anything from this shoot yet because the vendor team was hoping for their work could get published. At the end of last week, we all received incredible news that this shoot was a Wedding Chicks national feature! You can see the article and full list of credits here. Wedding Chicks has a huge social following and is known as a friendly competitor of blogs like Style Me Pretty and Green Wedding Shoes.

So thank you to Tiffani and the Love Birds Vintage company along with the owners of The Big Sky Barn for choosing us to be the Bride and Groom of this feature. Photos were taken by Kelley Craig Photography and you can see more images and the complete vendor list on the Wedding Chicks article here. As an added bonus, I got to wear 2 wedding dresses which were both by designer Hayley Paige that I love! Each dress had almost the exact same top, it’s just one was fitted and carried the sequin detail all the way to the floor while the other had a tulle Princess bottom!

Get ready for more footage coming from our real wedding since we are nearing our 1 year Anniversary!

Cheers to love and getting to share my life with my soulmate! PS I wrote and uploaded this blog while working on a laptop in a deer stand with my hubby! Marriage is all about making your partner happy, and Grant loves when I join him to go hunting!

xo,

Randa
