My 2021 word: IMPACT.

While it was the most impactful year professionally, it was also one of the most challenging and painful years personally. We experienced the most stressful life events in one calendar year: both death and divorce of loved ones, moving, and living & working through 6 months of construction with a baby. We had someone who worked in a critical role steal, lie, and violate our trust, leaving us heartbroken and empty handed when we were desperate for help, and even had past employees from a previous business who tried to do collateral damage to a new business. I somehow took full time care of Croix half of the year while the other half was full of the worst unexpected surprises and shocks to our family. Multiple public bashings of both me and my business and even my marriage shook me to my core. There was even a point where I questioned if I could continue showing up for the internet because social media has become a place where hate and negativity truly thrive. My little family is the most important thing in my world, and I started to feel that “sharing” was becoming too exposing, causing Satan to attack and harm what mattered most. I vividly felt him pulling so hard on my spirit and I leaned into prayer deeper than ever before.

The positive outcomes of such a hard year include clinging closer than ever before to those I love most, serious resilience endured and mental, emotional & spiritual strength was gained! God taught me so many lessons this year from first hand experiences, some that I never wish to relive again.

Impactfully speaking, this past year we paid over $12K back to fitness challenge winners, over $17K back to charities or churches, gave away over $40K in prizes, paid back over $100K to our now 12 Empowerment Coaches as well as another $100K to our over 200 Affiliates. In less than 3 years of business, @powher.fit became a 7-figure forceful business in the fitness industry. The uplifting power of our very special community has helped thousands of women take control of their fitness journeys, embrace a healthy relationship with food and embrace confidence like never before. PLUS WE ARE CREATING AN ACTUAL APP!!!

Yes, you read that right! Something I have never publicly shared yet is that we have officially begun app development and plan to launch one of the most robust yet user friendly fitness apps in 2022!!! We will continue to help many live stronger, healthier lifestyles while pursuing to help create successful commission conversions for our influencers and business growth for our coaches.

I don’t yet know my word for 2022, and I’m going to think it through thoroughly rather than getting in a rush to decide. One thing I do know is that excellence is never an accident. It is the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, continuous dedication, skillful execution and the vision to see obstacles as opportunities.

I sure hope I’ve shown the devil that I am tougher and braver than him, but I’ll continue lifting my weights to be ready to knock him out if he tries to take me or any of my loved ones down this upcoming year. Satan is a weak coward who preys on our internal fears, but God will not only take away your suffering, he will also heal every wound and restore everything good forever. How precious a soul must be that both God and the Devil are after it!

I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling real good about ’22!!! Thank you all for choosing to be here with me along this wild ride called life! Now, I would love to hear your New Year’s Resolutions, the choice word you chose for the upcoming year or even just what you’re looking forward to in 2022! Feel free to even share what you would like to see more of from both me personally as well as PowHer.fit as a community in the year to come, I just ask that you keep it encouraging or positive constructive criticism rather than starting the year off with negative feedback.

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” –Ephesians 2:10
