How the Challenge Works?

Welcome, we are so excited you’re interested in the PowHer.Fit $50,000 “New Year New You” Fitness Transformation Challenge! This is your opportunity to achieve your health & fitness goals through a community-based virtual strength training community and have the chance to win a seriously incredible prize package!

It’s only $100 to register for the challenge, and the winners will be selected by Randa Carrabba (Founder/CEO of PowHer.Fit) and her team of trainers after the final submission deadline. From there, we’ll announce the winners on the PowHer.fit website and award life changing cash prizes!

Challenge Starts: January 1, 2023 at 9:00 AM CST.

How it All Works?

Once you are an active PowHer.fit member and have purchased your $50,000 Transformation Challenge Ticket, you will have access to the $50,000 Transformation Challenge Entry Forum.

Within that forum there will be 3 different areas. Those will be:

  1. Submit Your Before Content – $50,000 Transformation Challenge (link to privately turn in your content)
  2. $50,000 Transformation Challenge Discussion (to engage with other community members who are participating)
  3. Submit Your After Content – $50,000 Transformation Challenge (link to privately turn in your content)

Checklist for Your “Before” Submission:

“Before” Pictures: a picture of the front, side, and back of your body to show your current fitness progress/status.

“Before” Video: a 360-degree video where you will move in a slow, full circle while being recorded) so that we can verify that your body is not “edited” in any way.

“Before” Measurements: Weight and body fat percentages are required. Entrants will be required to submit their “before” body fat %, chest, waist, hips, left leg, right leg, left arm and right arm measurements.

Document “Before: Date: In order for your submission to count, there must be proof of the current date showing the photo was taken during the entry time frame.

“Before” Content Due: January 1 at 9:00 AM CST – January 5 at 5:00 PM CST.

Checklist for your “After” Content:

“After” Pictures: side-by-side pictures of the front, side, and back before-and-afters. Please remember that the “before” photo will go on the left and the “after” belongs on the right. You can make these side-by-side images on Canva (web or app) or Instasize (app) which are both free downloads.

“After” Video: a 360-degree video where you will move in a slow, full circle while being recorded) so that we can verify that your body is not “edited” in any way.

“After” Measurements: Weight and body fat percentages are required. Entrants will be required to submit their “after” body fat %, chest, waist, hips, left leg, right leg, left arm, and right arm measurements.

“After” Essay: 500 words or less at the end of the challenge explaining what challenges you faced, how you feel now, what you learned about yourself or others? How did the 6-month, $50,000 PowHer.fit Transformation Challenge inspire you to grow? This is a chance to share your story and your journey! Tell us about non-scale victories like health improvements, increased confidence, self love, mental clarity, gaining emotional strength, a better relationship with food, increased energy, etc.

“After” Content Due: July 1 at 9:00 AM CST – July 5 at 5:00 PM CST.

Helpful Hints & Key Dates for Submission

  1. Body Fat Calculation: for body fat calculation, we suggest the in-body machine at your gym or nutrition store, a smart scale at home, or here a calculator for at-home calculation from NASM: https://www.nasm.org/resources/body-fat-calculator.
  2. What do I wear? Wear Anything that is comfortable for you! Try to wear something similar in both your before and after content so we can see the true progress. Remember if you wear a crop top and shorts we will be able to notice more of the body progress you’ve made rather than wearing an oversize baggy shirt. Ultimately a sports bra and bikini bottom will allow us to see the most body changes, but you are not required to wear anything you are uncomfortable in. Pictures will submit you to enter to win the challenge, but also will represent your individual journey and will be great to look back on in 6 months!
  3. “Before” Content Due: January 1 at 9:00 AM CST – January 5 at 5:00 PM CST.
  4. “After” Content Due: July 1 at 9:00 AM CST – July 5 at 5:00 PM CST.

About Our Challenge Discussion Forum:

This allows all entry members to communicate throughout the challenge and rely on each other for community support! This will be a 6-month transformation challenge to show that real sustainable results require a LIFESTYLE change!

What Will the Grand Prize Winner Win?

The Grand Prize winner will receive $40,000.

What Will the 1st Runner-Up and 2nd Runner-Up Winners Win?

1st Runner-Up will receive $7,500 cash and 2nd Runner-Up will receive $2,500 cash.

How Will the Winner Be Chosen?

This Challenge is not about simply losing weight or losing body fat, but about gaining strength, food freedom, confidence and more. Because of that, we’ve broken our judging criteria into three parts this year:

  • 1/3 of our vote will be based on your physical transformation (changes in body composition such as fat loss, lean muscle gained,
    inches lost)*
  • 1/3 of our vote will be based on your personal health, wellness & inspirational story of transformation written in a final essay (how this lifestyle change made you mentally, emotionally, physically stronger & how you improved your quality of life in terms of health & wellness).
  • 1/3 of our vote will be based on community engagement, content posting, social sharing to other members and utilizing the PowHer.fit resources provided (workout usage, feedback & testimonials, recipe sharing, etc.).

Overall, it will be a well-rounded winner based on the 3 criteria above chosen by Randa Carrabba (Founder of PowHer.fit) and her team of trainers, nutritionists, dieticians, and team members and how well you represent the PowHerFit ethos–that it’s not just about losing weight or body fat necessarily, it’s about gaining confidence, gaining strength, and gaining personal power to be the best YOU that you can be.

*Contestants will not be considered eligible unless they record their weight, measurements, and percent body fat at the beginning and end of the challenge within the prescribed time with the prescribed methods. Any contestant who gets caught altering their body images, photos, or videos will be automatically disqualified.

Where Can I Do the Challenge?

Anywhere you want, really! The PowHer.fit program has both gym and home programs as well as a zero equipment program that can be done anywhere with just your own bodyweight, so there’s really no excuse as to why you can’t participate. PowHer.fit also has intermediate, advanced and beginner (modified) movements for all exercises within a given workout, so no need to feel that you are “too out of shape” or not experienced enough.

Participants can choose from any of our current programs: Strength 1.0 (Home or Gym), Bikini Body Conditioning 1.0 Program (Home or Gym ), PowHer 1.0 (Home or Gym), PostPartum HealHer (Home or Gym for Postpartum Moms or those in a current Healing/Recovery Phase), “Pump Your Bump” Pregnancy Program (Home or Gym), Push-Pull Gym Program, Kait x PowHer.fit Collab Program (Home or Gym), PowHer Pair: Booty & Abs (Home or Gym), Zero Equipment Program (Can be Done Anywhere), or the New Strength 2.0 Gym Program.

How Long Will the Challenge Run?

For 6 Months! The PowHer.Fit Challenge Starts on January 1, 2023, at 9:00 AM CST and Ends: on July 23, 2023, at 5 PM CST. Contestant Submission Dates are as follows: “Before” Content Due: January 1 at 9:00 AM CST – January 5 at 5:00 PM CST and “After” Content Due: July 1 at 9:00 AM CST – July 5 at 5:00 PM CST.

Rules & Regulations:

For the most optimum results in 6 months we suggest Strength 1.0 (or 2.0) first (12 weeks) followed by Bikini Body Conditioning 1.0 (another 12 weeks).  Ultimately, you can do any of the PowHer.Fit Programs that are accessible with your membership.

We encourage all challenge participants to limit skipping workouts for the best chances of winning. The more consistent you are, the better your results will be.

We do suggest updating your nutritional overview (linked here) to update based on your personal goals every 4 weeks throughout the challenge. We do not want any members going to ANY unhealthy extremes, and do not encourage ANYONE to intake less than 1200 calories a day.
