Hey y’all! So Grant and I recently were invited to be guests at the Junior League Charity Ball at Kyle Field. Grant told me about this only 3 days before the event, and somehow I pulled it off! Being a guy is so simple, he just had to pull out the tux from his closet. Me on the other hand, I had to figure out an outfit, my hair and makeup, and since we were getting all dressed up I wanted to coordinate some photos to be taken. Oh and Did I mention last week was my crazy Cyber Week? Grant just had to get out of the shower and put a little gel in his hair. Guys really have it so easy compared to women when it comes to getting dressed up! I really am grateful that I have a husband who loves to get all dressed up, even if it only takes him 5 minutes. Grant even wore diamond button covers for his tuxedo shirt from his grandfather. He matches being #TeamExtra with me!

I ran to Dillard’s the day before the event and hit a home run with this one shoulder white sheer cape jumpsuit. Dillard’s has lots of online specials happening right now! There are tons of new markdowns, 25% off all Michael Kors, and their jumpsuit and “Special Event Stunner Shoes” collections are super impressive. I am so obsessed with white right now, plus I knew a jumpsuit would make a total statement. The sheer cape on the back made it a little more formal, so I knew I would be dressed up enough. The designer of this jumpsuit is Calvin Klein. I kept telling people I haven’t worn Calvin Klein since CK One and CK Be were the “it” perfumes when I was in junior high! I spent a little more than I wanted to on this jumpsuit, but it fit me like a dream. If I’m going to splurge, I would rather it be on a solid color item that I can wear for years to come! For formal events, I always prefer timeless over trendy for this reason alone.

Since Grant wore a traditional black and white tuxedo, I knew wearing all white would look super clean and crisp. Plus, since I didn’t even wear white for my own wedding or wedding rehearsal dinner, I was excited to get some classic and timeless photos of us wearing all black and white. My gorgeous hair and makeup was done by Versy Picone, owner of Vixen Hair Salon. Tim and Glen, owners of GT Studio Gallery, met us before the event to take these gorgeous photos. While at the event, JP Beato III took photos on Kyle Field as it was all lit up. If you know me personally or are an avid follower, you will know I tried so hard to get the lights turned on at Kyle Field on our wedding night and was not successful. So it was really awesome to get to be on the field all lit up when there wasn’t a football game happening. If you follow me on instagram or snapchat, you will know that by the end of the night my feet hurt so bad and Grant offered to give me his boots. Then Tennessee Whiskey came on so we had to dance together with him in his socks and me wearing his boots. Life’s too short to NOT make a statement and to NOT have a good time!
