Hey y’all! I am sooooooo excited about this blog post! Grant always tells me I need to spell things appropriately, but I had to include all the extra o’s in the word “so” for you to understand my level of happiness this post brings to me!

This is going to be my first ever year to send out family Christmas cards. We didn’t do this tradition while I was growing up even though I always wanted to, but now with my own little family you better bet I’m going to be “that wife” that plans out our Christmas Card photos and design every single year. This year was a no brainer to use our wedding photos taken by the talented Luke and Cat since we got married earlier in 2017, but I cannot wait to see all the Christmas Card magic that my family will create in the future! I would normally have to give warning to Grant about the upcoming Christmas card productions and creations, but him and Bucky love dressing up, which I am so thankful that they do!

I chose Basic Invite as the company to use because of the almost unlimited color options that could be used in the design. I loved getting to click on different font and outline colors and getting to see the changes instantly in my design option. Once I selected one of their many gorgeous template options (over 250 total!), I then was able to choose from 180 different color options to make sure the card was just how I wanted it to look, even down to the tiniest little detail.

After choosing the design and colors, they then mailed me a custom sample before I committed to placing my full order. I chose the pearl and iridescent shimmer finish and wanted to make sure that would look as beautiful in person as I had envisioned it would whenever I clicked that option. Being able to get a printed copy before I had to commit to the large order gave me the confidence that I had chosen the correct Christmas card print company to work with. The sample mailed out super quickly and I was beyond pleased with the sample product, so I didn’t need to make any changes before ordering all of my Christmas cards.

On top of the previous reasons I have listed, Basic Invite also offers over 40 different colors of envelopes. If you are a close friend of family member, then you will know that I had custom pink envelopes made for our wedding invites with glitter detail on the inside of the envelope. It’s all the little stationary details that create the overall “wow-factor” when your recipients open your mail. Envelopes are a design detail to not be overlooked, so being able to choose a custom pink envelope to match the color scheme of our Christmas Card made me even happier about the whole process than I already was! Ready for the cherry on top? All their envelopes are peel and seal so they can be quickly and securely closed without licking a single one!

I’ll be honest and say that I am not good when it comes to keeping an address book up to date. The only reason I was prepared this year is because we had recently gathered addresses for wedding invites. Basic Invite also offers an address capturing service that allows customers to simply share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or any other social media platform to request friends and family’s addresses which is then stored in the customer’s account and can be selected during the design process. The additional recipient address printing comes at no additional cost on all Christmas card orders.

If you’re #TeamExtra like me, then you love being able to add foil detail to all of your stationery creations. Foil holiday cards are available in gold, silver and rose gold (my personal favorite). You’re then able to choose flat or raised foil on all of Basic Invite’s foil designs. Like I say – more is more! So sign me up for rose gold foil all day every day haha!

I reached out to Basic Invite to let them know I had my own lifestyle blog, and I was so surprised to get a quick response that would benefit my followers! You can receive 30% off your order with coupon code: Holi30 for the 2017 Holiday Season.

Below you will see some photos that I took to show off the gorgeous Christmas cards that I designed. I chose to add a back design with a timeline to do an overview of our first year of marriage together. Sorry I didn’t photo the gorgeous envelopes I had created, but I have to keep a little bit of a surprise for those special family and friends who will be receiving these in the mail from us. Whether you’re a seasoned Christmas card sender, a newbie like myself, or even if you have any other upcoming event that requires special stationary, I would highly recommend my personal choice of Basic Invite. I am about to start designing invitations for my Grandparent’s 60th Wedding Anniversary that I will be hosting, and I can’t wait to see what I’m able to design on their site! You can start designing your own project here and don’t forget the current coupon code I scored for y’all! (Holi30).

On top of all the work I’m putting in at Southern Jewlz right now, I’m also working away to finish up all the Christmas decorating I’m doing to our home! My goal is to finish up by this weekend, so stay tuned for me to announce a Christmas decor reveal launch date for y’all! I am going to make everything incredible sparkly and fabulous!
