The “If I Had a Corporate Job” Blazer I Would Wear

Hey y’all! I wanted to share with each of you that I designed some cute t-shirts through my boutique that we are currently taking pre-orders on to help with hurricane relief! 100% of the proceeds will be donated and since the pre-order was launched last night, we have already raised over $1,000! I would love for you to check them out here. I love the pink option, but also the mint. I polled our followers for assistance with the design, and it was pretty constantly said that they wanted both “Texas Strong” and “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you.” Isaiah 43:2, so I combined the two into one design. There is also a more unisex design in maroon with “Texas Strong” that the guys can order, too! These will begin shipping in 5-9 business days. My goal is to raise $15,000, but even if we don’t reach that goal, we are well on our way towards a good size donation. In addition, 20% of ALL Southern Jewlz sales made this week will additionally be donated. There have been sooooo many people come together to help in a various of ways. Thank you God for uniting people together and assisting the victims with relief!

I don’t have a better picture than this, because we don’t have the shirts in yet. Here is a cute preview! Expect more pictures to come and hopefully a lot more money to raise, too.

I am especially proud of the small boutique industry for pulling together to help those in need. Check out this article that many were featured in Inc. Magazine, y’all! Women owned boutiques as of a couple days ago and already raised $100,000 to help other entrepreneurs in Houston so they wouldn’t lose their business. Special thanks to Ashley, the ring leader of the Boutique Hub for bringing so many wonderful women together to make a difference!

So now let’s talk fashion! As many of you already know, I do not and have never had a corporate type job. I started working for myself half way through my college career and have continued to do so ever since. The cute little a-lined short dress featured in this post is from my online boutique! However, it’s the long pink duster blazer that super makes this outfit. IF I had a coporate type job, this would most be a blazer I would rock on the reg. I paired it with this cute simple tan dress (that’s only $30!) because the colors compliment each other super well. I’m a sucker for neutrals and blushes mixed together. Now I know this dress wouldn’t meet the corporate dress code on length, but it works fine in my world. I’m wearing a small in the dress, but if you need more length, I suggest sizing up. It also comes in black, maroon and melon. I’ve linked them all and will again with the pictures below. And I will link the rest of the outfit at the bottom of this post.

I’ve always dreamed of being a career barbie. Now I’ve married my Ken, got in the best shape of my life, and I’m working hard to become the me I’ve always wanted to be – and that includes a meaningful and successful career!

Gorgeous photos by James Barrett Photography here in College Station, Texas and makeup by Versy Picone, owner of Vixen Salon!

Again, the dress is from my boutique (Southern Jewlz) and comes in 4 color options and is only $30 and ships FREE! Plus, if you order before Sunday 20% of your purchase will go towards Hurricane Help!
