The Fall Trend I Can’t Live Without

Hey y’all! I am soooo happy that today is the very first day it actually feels like Fall here in College Station, TX! It is 71 degrees and feels like Heaven, unlike the 95 degrees from the day I took these photos. You will probably enjoy getting to see more Fall looks from me now that I won’t be super hot and uncomfortable outside. If you’re from around where I am – you know the struggle is real!

Speaking of Fall Fashion, I wanted to share a staple trend that I simply cannot go without this season. Bell sleeve details are giving me all the feels right now. Such a simple way to make an outfit appear more feminine, fun and charming. Being from the South, I also tie to a bell sleeve because it makes me feel like a real Southern Bell when I’m wearing them. I wore a bell sleeve top to the Aggie Football game this past weekend (how about us hanging in there with Alabama!?), and I will say that the people around me maybe weren’t as into the bell sleeves as I was because when I got to cheering and waving my 12th man towel, my sleeves went to going too! And in case you don’t follow me on instagram or snapchat, I’ll share a funny video below where Grant called me out for my hometown accent when yelling “Fighting Texas Aggie First Down!” He said I turn the word down into 2 syllables haha.

So here’s a gorgeous Fall outfit featuring a metallic bell sleeve v neck velour top (Under $70) and a stretchy cotton black skirt that is under $30 and also comes in gray! The top actually hits right at the mid drift and would be so cute with some high waist jeans, but it’s still long enough to tuck in. This skirt makes me look slimmer than I am, and I love the gathered knot detail. Since it will take a while to really cool down, pairing this skirt with over the knee boots and different tops will be an easy go-to Fall look. PS These over the knee boots are by Jessica Simpson (you may already know that her and I share the same birthday), but also I have the cutest black otk boots coming to my store (Southern Jewlz Boutique) next week! A lot of you have been asking about these over the knee boots and they are under $100 and have just been restocked – whoop!

I’ll also be sharing some of my other favorite bell sleeve pieces for the season below. Some I own and you’ll see pictures of me, and some are just stock photos as they are on my current obsession fashion list.

Special thanks to my friend Katie Ruffino (she is actually a realtor instead of a photographer in case you’re looking to buy a house) for enduring the heat with me on this day so we could get some more blog pictures. The day before was my professional shoot with James Barrett and I had beautiful makeup by Versy Picone, but the Texas weather hit and we only were able to shoot two looks!

Here is everything that I used to complete this outfit (including my curling wand that you have all been asking me about) besides the hat which is from Southern Jewlz:
