Finally Sharing Which Fitness Program I’ve Been Following!

Hey everyone!  So I will admit I wasn’t going to share this information in this blog for a few more days.  However, since I still haven’t gotten my Christmas decor blog up for y’all, I wanted to go ahead and share which fitness program I’ve been following and will soon be influencing for!  Then you might understand a little more just why my Christmas Decor blog and some other projects haven’t been wrapped up quite yet!

So about 2.5 months ago I hired my own virtual personal trainer!  He came highly recommended to me and has written lots of workout plans for women – even some competitor champions.  While I’m not looking to be a fitness competitor, I am always looking for ways to burn fat and build lean muscle mass while not having to workout for hours each day.  I chose Ben Crane of Do What You Can’t.  He is a strength coach, trainer and nutritionist who is currently based out of South Carolina.  He actually use to live and work in College Station, and still has a few clients who live here!  He designed me a one of a kind workout program to follow. Moving forward, he will be helping out with client relations, questions and concerns. I am not a personal trainer or nutritionist, so I needed to be sure to have someone like Ben to take on this role! I do not desire to become a personal trainer due to all of my other irons in the fire.

I obviously had to tell him about my community and how I was searching for a program that I truly believe in – from the sustainability to even the lifestyle and leadership behind it – so I could share with each of you!  Instead of me continuing to search for a program to refer you all to, I decided to create one!  Ben is the brains behind all of the workouts and sets all the nutritional guidelines (which are not super complex or hard to follow whatsoever).  I on the other hand have been doing all of the filming, content creation, logo design, photo shoot content as well as website and app development.  It has been a super big project that consumes a lot of my time (hence the reason I haven’t taken professional pics of my Christmas decor to edit and share with y’all yet!).  I didn’t even decide to make this happen until November because honestly I was a little overwhelmed with just launching Randa Carrabba the Label in October.  I am trying SUPER HARD to have everything ready to go by January 1, 2019, but I obviously didn’t have much time to work with.  If I would have planned to be launching a fitness app for the new year, I can promise I would have started sooner.  Sometimes God really does just lead us and push on our hearts to make things happen, even though they may completely overlap each other.  This would be another reason why I decided to sell the Southern Jewlz company (you can get the scoop all about the future of the SJ company in this blog post!).

I will slowly be releasing a little more about the program as we get closer to finalizing the app and having an official countdown, but for now I ask that you give me your input and requests rather than a lot of questions.  Time is of the essence and I promise once it’s launched I will focus on answering every person’s questions about the program.  Until then, I’ve got my head down trying to wrap up this project.

Many of you have been following along on my fitness only instagram page which has been called (@randacarrabbafitness), but as soon as I launch this blog post I will be changing the handle to @powHer.fit as that is going to be the name and domain of my fitness program!  Y’all know I love to grow an instagram following and then rename it – hence when I changed my SJ storefront insta account to @randacarrabbathelabel!

I am so excited to continue to motivate, encourage and educate women about the physical and mental benefits of strength and resistance training for the body.  I know there is so much stigma that lifting weights means women will bulk up and become masculine – so I decided to go super girly and feminine with the logo.  I made sure to let Ben know that “bulking up” is a concern of my community.  So there is a very strong emphasis on lean muscle gains, fat loss, sustainability, and body recovery.  Many of you have said that you have seen drastic improvements in my body and strength the past 2 months and I owe it all to this program!

Turning the program that I’ve been following into an app for everyone to follow has come with a lot of up front expense on my end, however the monthly membership fee is going to be SUPER affordable (less than $50) and way cheaper than if you hired your own personal trainer.  I will be showing you every movement with videos and voice over commands as Ben has worked very hard to teach me a lot about proper form and key words to help everyone perform their best at each exercise.

I will share that there will be BOTH a GYM option and a HOME option.  Both the gym and home options were written separate and individually, so no worries that you’re being sold a gym option that you are told can be done at home.  We are going to teach those who choose the home option how to use household items to get a good workout in.

I will say this – full body strength days are now my jam!!!  Thank you Ben for helping me make such an incredible transition in the gym.  Plus, eating breakfast never tasted so good!  You can watch my youtube video where I share with you the differences I saw after giving up carb cycling and only doing very limited intermittent fasting for over a month HERE.

Last thing I will share about the program is that if you’re scared you are too out of shape, just a beginner, or maybe even you feel you are on the opposite spectrum and more advanced than most, well we thought of that too!  Every standard movement within every single workout will have a corresponding advanced movement, the standard movement, and a modified movement.

    So exciting!!! The only request I have the the time. With 4 kids (3 of which are busy with a million school & extra activities). I don’t have time for workouts that are forever long. I have to get them done in the morning before I wake my kids up for school. So time is a huge deal for me! I can’t wait to see the new program!! Congratulations!

      27-32 min is our focus!!!!!! Proper warm up and cool down will add a little time, but work time is focused from 27-32!

    Yes!! This is so exciting & I knew without a doubt you would come up with something GREAT for us! Praying God’s blessings as you have so much going on right now.     I’m so excited for this app! I live in Cypress and I’m a huge Aggie Fan! My dad and both of my grandfathers went to A&M. I think my daughter will end up going to A&M Galveston and hopefully transfer to College Station!
    Back to your fitness program. You look absolutely fantastic and I can’t wait to follow the same program so I can get toned up! Thank you for all you do!

    I have no doubt that this is going to be a fantastic program. Thank you for your dedication to helping people! I pray that you get to slow down a little and enjoy the holidays with all of your family! As far as the fitness program is concerned I do have a request. I LOVE lifting and I love yoga/barre, but I have had 3 different hip surgeries so there are movements that I loved before and can’t do now. Would you consider adding some movements that are more stretching/yoga related that people like me that have had injuries can do when things hurt? I will never give up squatting or presses but some days I just can’t do it.
