“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.”
Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a beautiful weekend. I spend far more time than usual in my journal. If you follow me on instagram, you’ll know that I shared on Friday I was feeling much more stressed and anxious than usual. Instead of hiding away or throwing on a super woman cape, I leaned it and shared that I was embracing the struggle. My face may be completely broken out, but I am feeling much better today!
I personally think things come out way that have to be FELT and DEALT with, even when it’s hard. God puts us in certain positions for particular reasons, even when we don’t understand. I caught myself finding it more difficult to lead, serve and share my life on the internet last week. Those things can be HARD. I mean, sometimes just being a functioning human being can be hard enough, AM I RIGHT!?!?
I spent the weekend diving into HIS word, doing some self reflecting and journaling. Sometimes life can be so fast-paced that reflection time can be put on the back burner. Change and re-direction can be HARD. You all know I’m going through an unexpected transitional time in my fitness influencing career. Yes, growing phases can be down right uncomfortable, stressful, doubtful and can even cause unnecessary anxiety, but it can allow for new beginnings as well! I’m making sure that everything I’m a part of aligns with my core values, and that can be so much easier said that done.
So I journaled 30 days of little actions to help me grow in gratitude. I’m going to start this tomorrow (Tuesday October 23) which will put me completing all 30 days just in time for Thanksgiving. I shared about this on my instagram stories yesterday, and so many of you seemed interested to join me that I designed a pretty little flyer to help line out the next 30 days of growing in gratitude together. I can catch myself feeling more alone than normal during growing phases, so I’m excited to come together with the power of community and prepare our hearts to be extra grateful, loving and positive leading into the season of Thanksgiving.
Feel free to implement these small acts into your daily life. You don’t have to tell anyone, not even me if you don’t want to. But, if you like the power of community like I do, then I have created us a Facebook group to keep in touch during these 30 days. You can join that group HERE. I have never led my own Facebook group, so it may take me a day or two to figure everything out. Also, while none of this has to be posted on social media, I did make us an official hashtag (with help from all of you) so that we can find each other and engage with each others posts. The hashtag is #GratitudeGirlGang and there were no posts that used this hashtag on instagram, so it will be perfect for JUST US. Again, you do NOT have to share this on social media. I didn’t even plan on sharing this on my blog, but so many of you reached out to me after Friday telling me of your own current anxiety issues that I figured this may be a way to help a few others.
So here is a 30 day guide to growing together in gratitude that encourages us to embrace positivity and being thankful. Feel free to print it out, save it on your phone, or even share it with a friend.
Again, none of this is required on social media, but if you want a support group please join us in the Facebook group below.
I even had Grant look over my 30 days challenge I made for myself to get another opinion before I shared it on my blog and invited others to join me. God bless that man of mine who loves me through all the emotions being a woman can bring. How precious does he look in the photos from my Randa Carrabba the Label clothing line campaign launch with GT Studios!? He was such a trooper and showed up for 2 different looks at the end of a work day so I could showcase date night friendly looks with all of you!
If you want something to post on your social media, I did make a little graphic you can use.
I believe that a grateful heart truly is a magnet for miracles. I’m very excited to prepare for the Thanksgiving Holiday with so many of you. I hope you all have a fabulous day! If you aren’t already following me on instagram, I will be doing video stories every morning about the challenge ahead of us each day! I’d love to have you join in and follow along on my instagram!
